Shree Krishna Shrestha (April 19, 1967 – August 10, 2014) (Nepali: श्रीकृष्ण श्रेष्ठ) was a Nepalese actor, who achieved nation wide recognition with roles in movies like Maiti and Afno Manche. Thousands of People participated in the death rally in Kathmandu on 11/08/2014. He was given national honour by the Nepal Government. Many personalities of Nepal including prime minister of Nepal expressed their deep condolence to him.
Shrestha married Sweta Khadka in July 2014. They met when she made her film début in Kaha Vetiyela, a Nepali movie which he directed. The two had been in a relationship for a long time when they married on July 7, 2014. Soon afterwards, the couple left for India, where he was diagnosed with pneumonia and bone cancer. Shree died at the age of 47 in Apollo Hospital, New Delhi on 10 August 2014 at 5 am local time.
